Who we are

What data we process

• Your chat messages: the messages you send to Zıpırtık and its replies.
• Website trial: to prevent abuse of the free trial on our website, we store an irreversible encrypted fingerprint of your IP address, not the address itself. It can't be turned back into your IP address; it is only used to count trials coming from the same connection.
• Chat summary: so Zıpırtık can remember your earlier conversations, a short summary of the older part of long chats is created (also with AI) and stored on our server. Sensitive information such as health details, passwords, ID or card numbers is left out of the summary. Clearing the chat or deleting your account also deletes the summary.
• Photos you send: sent to the AI only so it can comment on them; they are not stored on our server. So you can see them again, they are kept only on your own device; the chat history on our server keeps just a 📷 mark and your caption. Clearing the chat or deleting your account also removes the photos from your device.
• Voice chat: When you talk, your voice is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition on your phone, or on the web by your browser's speech service (for example Google's in Chrome). No audio is sent to or stored on our server; only the resulting text reaches us and the AI. Zıpırtık's spoken replies are read aloud by your device's own text-to-speech.
• Things you teach me: answers you give with the /teach command or when I ask "what would you say". These are shown only to you.
• Device key: a randomly generated code that lets us recognize you. We do not collect your name, phone number or advertising ID.
• If you sign in: the name, e-mail address and account ID that Apple or Google shares with us.

Why we process it

To chat with you, generate replies, store your chat history and show it to you again, and to prevent abuse of the service (for example, a daily usage limit).

AI and international transfer

Zıpırtık's replies are generated with Claude, an AI model by Anthropic PBC (USA). To do this, your message, any photo you send and your last few messages (so the conversation makes sense) are sent to Anthropic's servers. This transfer happens only with the explicit consent you give when you first open the app. No message is sent to the AI before you give consent.

Please do not share ID numbers, passwords, banking details, health information or other sensitive personal data in the chat.

How long we keep it

Your chat history and the things you teach me are kept on our server until you delete them. Server backups are kept for at most 30 days; data you delete is fully removed from backups after that period.

How to delete your data

• Clear chat: one tap in the menu instantly deletes all your messages.
• Delete my account and data: one tap in the menu instantly deletes your messages, the things you taught me and your account.

Your rights

You can ask whether your data is processed, request information, ask for correction or deletion, and exercise your other rights under applicable data protection laws (including Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data) by writing to erhan@erbilgi.com.

Age limit

Zıpırtık is intended for users aged 18 and over.

Ads and tracking

Zıpırtık shows no ads, does not track you across other apps and websites, and does not sell your data.
